Scope and Contents

The Beatrice Stegeman Collection of Metro-East Feminism includes materials collected by Stegeman in the course of her work as a feminist organizer and author of "Yesterdays" in which she analyzes the early feminist movement in the Metro-East area through interviews and a collection of early documents. The collection consists of correspondence, annual reports, clippings from "The Feminist" newspaper, public information sheets, membership lists, and organization documentation. This collection also includes materials related to the Metro-East chapter of the National Organization for Women and its political and legislative efforts.
