Richland Creek Flood Collection

William Corr Shaw Collection
The William Corr Shaw Collection consists of materials related to Shaw's tenure as a faculty member at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Shaw was a professor of physics at SIUE from 1959 to 1973 and a professor emeritus from 1973 until his death in 1977. He was instrumental in establishing a permanent viewing facility for the Physics Department's astronomy courses. After his death, the viewing facility was designated the William C. Shaw Skylab.
William G. Bek Collection
The William G. Bek Collection consists of carbon copies of translations by Bek of various manuscripts describing the life and activities of the German community in St. Louis in the 19th century. There are also reprints of articles by Bek about German customs and travels in Missouri.

Wirt Downing Papers, 1928-1990
Wirt Downing was principal of East St. Louis High School and its head coach for football and track from the 1940s through the 1980s. He retired with one of the winningest coaching records in the state, 144-18-7.
The Wirt Downing Papers consist of correspondence, clippings, honors, photos, and ephemera from collected during his tenure as track and football coach of East St. Louis High School and his long career in East St. Louis education.
